Like so many people will have these days, you by this stage in your life will likely have had at very least a phone that has a camera on it for a number of years, if not also having had a stand-alone camera at some point or another along the line. Both of these options are great as it has meant that over the years you have been able to capture so many good and important moments in photograph and video form. But the problem now becomes what are you supposed to do with these hundreds, if not thousands of different videos and photos that you’ve accrued over the years? Do you keep them online on a cloud storage service? Do you have a large external hard drive that you use? Or is saving them on your computer the best way to do it? All of these approaches have their merits but equally can a host of problems that can arise with them. As cloud services are entirely dependent on you having access to the internet, as well as remembering your login details. Should you have neither of these it makes it difficult to access your files. External hard drives can be large and are not the most mobile of options at the best of times.
One option that is worth looking into is a form of external hard drive, however, it mitigates the issue of a larger external drives as it comes in a far smaller form than the typical ones that you will have seen in use before. This option is to use a smaller set of flash drives, at first glance many people overlook them as they may not have the same appeal due to their smaller storage capacity hence why they make the sacrifices involved in getting a larger external hard drive. But the truth is that there are many benefits that make getting smaller flash drives to store your photos. But the biggest put off is that people are so used to seeing them being bought individually. However, an option that people should look at more is bulk ordering USB drives, as doing this can make the storage of your cherished photos so much easier. By purchasing them in this way they are able to do it in a cost-effective way and by having the number of drives that they will have purchased it mitigates any problem of smaller storage space as they will have enough to spread their collection amongst the numerous drives.
Purchasing them in this way makes for a very good option because as mentioned it means that you are able to do it in a cost-effective way. But the form factor of the drives themselves are small enough so that people can transport them easily, carry them in their pockets with ease and not need to worry about how they are going to carry their photos from point A to point B after they have transferred them from their phones to storage. The added benefit in spreading them across a few different drives is that it can in effect store them much in the same way you would old photo albums rather than needing to scroll through a file explorer to find the photos you are looking for, instead you can just pick out the specific driver you need.
